This course is designed to get new R17 users up to speed in the basics of part design, assembly design, and drafting. Users will learn the fundamentals of parametric modeling. Key topics include: user interface, file management, views, compass, display modes, preselection navigator, specification tree, objects, layers, reference features, points, lines, planes, axis system, sketcher, corner, chamfer, relimitation, sketch operation, transformation, constraints, 3D geometry, sketch analysis, bosses, cores, pads, pockets, holes, shafts, grooves, threaded holes, drafts, threads, taps, patterns, mirror, stiffeners, Booleans, translation, rotations, measure, parameters, formulas, assembly, component, top-down assembly, bottom-up assembly, constraints, views, drawings, dress ups, dimensions, and annotations.

Prerequisites:
No previous CATIA experience required.

Intended Audience:
