Overview:
This course will provide insight into effective model creation and the advantages of solid modeling (such as the ability to analyze your model). Define shapes with base profiles and protrusions then advance your design using closed profiles, nested profiles, open profiles, and constraints. Further enhance your skills in profile creation with different techniques for quickly creating curves, constraints and dimensions. Understand how to create features with the processes of defining planes, placing profiles, defining side step, extents and treatment options. Further advance to creating treatment features or lip features. Expedite the building of your model with feature patterning, copies, and mirroring. Practice your newly gained knowledge with projects that test your skills in the covered material. Upon completion of this course, you'll have all the tools you need to start creating your own part models.

Prerequisites:
Solid Edge v21 User Interface or equivalent Solid Edge experience.

Intended Audience:
Designers and Engineers who need to learn how to model parts in Solid Edge.
